About This Blog

Welcome to The Kingdom Journey!

This is a blog that has been created with the intention of sharing my thoughts and reflections as I travel down the road of life as a follower of Jesus.  The theme for the blog was greatly influenced by one of my favorite books, “The Pilgrim’s Progress”.  An allegory for the Christian walk, the book depicts a man’s perilous journey from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City.  What I love most about “The Pilgrim’s Progress” is that it captures the essence of what the Christian walk is.  It shows us that it is a journey of ups and downs, of highs and lows, of struggles and victories.  It shows us that it is a journey that requires denial of self interest in favor of something far greater.  It shows us that it is a journey that cannot be completed of our own accord.  It is a perilous journey that we need the strength of God to complete.  As I said before, this blog was created with the purpose of sharing my thoughts and reflections as I travel this path.  While I would love for you to follow these thoughts via my blog, my ultimate prayer is that you would join me on the journey as a disciple of Christ.  For, while the path may be a rocky one, it is the only one that leads to peace with our Heavenly Father.

    • Hey Brian! Life got kind of busy for a while. I’m a school teacher and the second half of the school year was a bit more demanding. Thanks so much for your concern :-) I’m hoping to get back into a regular blogging routine now that summer has arrived.
